BROWNS MEMORIES

Past Great Moments To Get Us Through The Offseason

Welcome to the Muni Crue, a hard nosed tailgating group of the Cleveland Browns. We've tailgated with sunny skies, driving rain, searing heat, blizzards, swirling wind and Autum splendor. We started out as a small tailgating group that has grown larger and larger each season. We've met new friends with the same two goals: have fun tailgating and see the Cleveland Browns win a Super Bowl.
Our team has given us rare glimpses of how things could be if they would start winning, glimpses of how this football city would rise from the ashes and turn the stadium into pandemonium palace once again. Unfortunately, we've endured numerous catastrophes, blunders, unthinkable endings and flat out horrid play. We've seen coaches come and go, we've seen quarterback controversies and new players come to town telling us how things are going to be different. We get knocked down, but we bounce back up.
You see, we're from Cleveland, where you have to be tough, our skin is thick and weathered. The last Championship of any kind in Cleveland was in 1964, when the Cleveland Browns beat the Baltimore Colts. The Cleveland Indians last won the World Series in 1948, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have never won a Championship since their existence in 1970. There are many names for the Cleveland losses over the years; Red Right 88, The Drive, The Fumble, and The Shot. Recently, a two time NBA MVP played in Cleveland, he vowed he would erase the curses of the past and "light it up like Vegas". The thing is, he wasn't tough like Cleveland fans, he took the easy way out and headed south after 7 seasons. When your from Cleveland and live and die with the sports teams, there is no way out. That is our blessing and our curse. When the snow is blown' in off the lake, and our toes are numb and our beer turns to ice as soon as it's poured, guess what, the Muni Crue is out there tailgating. It's not easy but that's just what we do.
